Multi-Instrumental Peripatetic Music Tutor (Guitar, Drums & Keyboard) – Primary Schools

The Role
The Rock & Pop Foundation is seeking an enthusiastic and professional Multi-Instrumental Peripatetic Music Tutor to join our expanding team of music educators, delivering inspiring small-group and one-to-one instrumental lessons within our partner primary schools across Chalfont St Peter, Gerrards Cross, Rickmansworth, Chorleywood and the surrounding North West London area.
This opportunity is ideally suited to a professional musician or experienced peripatetic music tutor looking for rewarding school-based teaching with the security of a structured programme and the flexibility of term-time working.
We are looking for tutors who can confidently teach at least two of the following instruments:
The role will initially be one to three days per week, with excellent opportunities to increase your timetable as additional partner schools are introduced.
Teaching hours: Approximately 8:30am – 3:30pm during school term time (38 weeks per year).

This allows you to focus on delivering engaging, high-quality music lessons while we take care of the administration.
The Successful Candidate Will
- Be able to commit to a regular weekly timetable during school term time.
- Have their own vehicle and hold a full UK or European driving licence.
- Be confident delivering engaging one-to-one and small-group instrumental lessons.
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Be willing to present two school concerts each academic year to showcase student progress.
- Ideally live within easy travelling distance of Chalfont St Peter, Gerrards Cross, Rickmansworth, Chorleywood, Uxbridge, Ruislip, Harrow or the surrounding North West London area.
- Be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
- Have a minimum of one year's teaching experience, preferably as a peripatetic instrumental tutor.
