Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Tutor to support learners of various ages and backgrounds. Duties
- Plan and deliver customised English lessons tailored to individual student needs and levels
- Support students in developing reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills
- Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to maintain student engagement
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback
- Create a supportive environment that encourages confidence and active participation
- Adapt teaching strategies for students with special educational needs or learning difficulties
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and lesson plans
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student development when appropriate
Skills
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching English or related subjects
- Ability to work effectively with children and young learners
- Knowledge of special education practices is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently
- Organised with strong planning skills to develop engaging lesson plans
- Compassionate, adaptable, and committed to fostering a positive learning environment
- Ability to motivate students and build rapport quickly
