Privately owned for over 45 years and now one of the North West’s leading & multi award winning Engineering companies, WEC is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Press Brake Operator to join our busy and expanding team based in Sherburn in Elmet, Leeds.
Responsibilities
- To read, interpret and understand engineering drawings
- Ensure all job bookings accurately recorded
- Completing operations within allocated time
- Improve the processes where possible
- Visually inspect the components to ensure that it meets the requirements
- To undertake first off inspections where required
- To ensure compliance to Health and safety standards as directed by the Company
- Any other duties that may fit into the remit of this role as and when required

Knowledge, Skills, Experience
- Proven experience in programming, setting and operating Trumpf press brakes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings essential
- Ability to work on own initiative essential
- Able to set and maintain a high standard of workmanship essential
- Sheet metal working background preferred
Working Location/Environment
Sherburn in Elmet, Leeds
Hours
Monday to Thursday 7pm - 7am
£18.69 Per Hour OTE (£14.94 + Shift Allowance)
40 hours paid at basic and 6 hours paid at 1.5x
