Overview
The Hadley Park House Hotel, in Telford are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality, preferably within a hotel environment, and will be committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation. This role is essential in ensuring that our guests enjoy a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere during their stay.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas to ensure they meet our high standards of cleanliness.
- Change bed linens, towels, and other amenities as required, ensuring all items are fresh and well-presented.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces to maintain a tidy appearance throughout the property.
- Vacuum carpets and mop floors to ensure all areas are clean and hygienic.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the management promptly.
- Assist with laundry duties as needed, including washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens.
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and notify management when stock is low.
- Uphold health and safety regulations while performing cleaning tasks to ensure a safe environment for both guests and staff.
Requirements
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Must be able to work weekends.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently without compromising quality.
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks within designated timeframes.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills with a friendly disposition towards guests and colleagues.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that may require lifting, bending, and prolonged standing.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding guest information and property security.
