Job Summary
Alpha Steel Ltd is seeking a reliable and experienced Metal Sheet Worker / Fabricator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be involved in the fabrication and processing of sheet metal products, operating machinery, and assisting with warehouse and production activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with experience in sheet metal fabrication and machine operation.
Duties
- Operate press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components.
- Operate guillotine and cutting machines safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and production specifications.
- Measure, mark, and prepare materials for fabrication.
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Load, unload, and move materials using a forklift truck.
- Maintain machinery and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Assist with general workshop and warehouse duties as required.
- Deliver and collect materials when necessary.
Requirements
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
- Forklift Truck (FLT) Licence.
- Experience operating press brake machines.
- Experience using sheet metal cutting/guillotine machines.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Previous experience operating press brakes or similar machinery is essential. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to contribute their skills within a collaborative team environment while advancing their expertise in metal fabrication processes.
Pay: £12.90-£15.00 per hour
