Griffin & Brand (European) Ltd., based in Ashford, Kent, is a family-owned business established in 1967. Over the past five decades, the company has grown significantly, evolving with over 50 years in the fresh produce industry.
Today, Griffin & Brand specialises in supplying grapes year-round, sourcing from over 40 grower groups across 11 countries on five continents. They also handle other fresh produce and offer services such as third-party storage, packing, and transport. The company remains under family leadership, with the second and third generations actively involved in its operations.
The role: We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Technical Administrator to join the Technical team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administration: Carry out any administrative duties determined by the needs of the business.
- Due Diligence: Obtain and review due diligence paperwork from grape suppliers to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Recording and Investigating Customer Complaints: Ensure that customer complaints are up to date and recorded accurately.
- Data Compilation: Collect and compile data throughout the grape season, maintaining accurate and organised records.
- Reporting: Assist in creating comprehensive end-of-season reports, highlighting positives, negatives, and any issues that occurred during the season.
- Compliance: Ensure all products meet compliance requirements, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
- Hygiene Audits: Conduct weekly hygiene audits to ensure all departments comply with hygiene rules and standards.
- Communication: Liaise with suppliers to gather necessary information and resolve any issues.
- Collating and Sending Samples for Analysis: Ensure these are done on time and correctly.
- Writing and Amending Company Policies and Procedures: Make sure these are kept up to date.
- Site Audits: Complete site audits and ensure they are completed regularly and to a high standard.
- Helping Other Departments: Assist with projects if required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a technical administrative role, preferably within the agricultural or food production industry.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in data management and reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Hours: Monday to Friday – 8am to 5pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £14.62 per hour
