Property Portfolio Manager
Location: Oxford
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Our client, established in 2006, is a UK-based residential property developer with its headquarters in Oxford and additional offices overseas. They are now seeking a professional, driven, and experienced Property Portfolio Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of their UK residential property portfolio, based in Oxford.
Operating under a sub-agent model, the business acts as the principal agent for lettings and property management, working in close partnership with a network of local agents across the UK. This role is integral to ensuring the efficient performance of the portfolio, maintaining full compliance with regulatory requirements, and delivering an exceptional standard of service to clients, investors, and tenants.
This is a varied and fast-paced position requiring regular communication with partner agents, contractors, clients/investors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing designated property portfolios to ensure positive cash flow, operational efficiency, and strong investment returns
- Acting as the primary point of contact for all lettings and property management matters
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with local partner agents
- Coordinating property marketing and letting activities
- Managing the full tenancy lifecycle, including check-ins, check-outs, renewals, re-lets, and rent reviews
- Ensuring full compliance with all relevant legislation, including safety certifications, licences, and inspections
- Overseeing property maintenance issues and ensuring timely resolution through agents and contractors
- Monitoring rent collection and managing arrears
- Coordinating and overseeing any legal matters, liaising with solicitors and relevant third parties as required
- Providing clear, regular updates and reporting to clients and investors
- Supporting and managing UK landlord relationships through proactive portfolio oversight
- Liaising with block management companies and other external stakeholders
Skills & Experience Required
- A minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in residential property and lettings management
- Strong knowledge of UK property legislation, tenancy management, and best practice in property management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with MRI or similar property management systems is advantageous
- Confident, professional, and effective communicator
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and remain effective in a fast-paced environment
