Job Summary
Glasgow Removals are recruiting for an HGV Driver based in the Glasgow area. This is not just a driving role, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service to our customers when they move home and for ensuring that packing and loading standards are delivered by the removals team. The role will suit an experienced HGV Driver that wants to do more than just drive. Drivers have to be great team players, physically able and want to interact with customers to provide a great service.
Duties
- Operating an HGV Class 2 vehicle for domestic and commercial removals
- Safely loading, securing, and unloading items using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Physically fit in order to pack, lift and load/unload the vehicle, dismantle and reassemble household furniture
- Navigating routes efficiently whilst adhering to traffic laws and safety guidelines
- Assisting with the packing and organisation of items prior to transportation
- Communicating effectively with clients regarding delivery schedules and requirements
- Completing all necessary documentation accurately and promptly
- Conducting routine vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and reporting any issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence with relevant driving experience
- Proven delivery driver experience, ideally within removals sector
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting and manoeuvring furniture or goods
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude towards clients and colleagues

Hours and rate of pay negotiable depending on experience.
Pay: £15.00-£17.00 per hour
