RG Consultancy are working with a well-established SME who are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their busy head office in Preston. This is a varied, full-time role newly created to assist the Finance Manager on a day to day basis.
Reporting to the Finance Manager this Accounts Assistant role will be responsible for:

Process daily financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and receipts

Accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner

Maintain accurate financial records and update accounting systems

Support month-end and year-end closing processes

Prepare and process supplier payments and staff expense claims
-
Communicate with clients and suppliers to handle queries and payment issues

Monitor outstanding invoices and followed up on overdue payments

Ensured compliance with company policies and financial regulations
-
Provided administrative support to the finance team as required
This Accounts Assistant role would be ideal for someone who has experience in a small accounts team and they are able to support study for AAT.
