Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Worker to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting. Responsibilities
- Offer personalised care and support tailored to each child's needs, ensuring their safety and emotional well-being.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualised care plans, working collaboratively with other professionals and families.
- Engage children in meaningful activities that promote social skills, education, and personal growth.
- Support children with daily routines such as meal preparation, hygiene, and leisure activities.
- Drive children to appointments, school, or activities as required, ensuring safe transportation.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, behaviour observations, and progress notes in accordance with organisational policies.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, children, families, and external agencies to ensure cohesive support.
- Uphold health and safety standards within the residential setting at all times.
Qualifications
- Experience working with adult or in adult settings is highly desirable.
- Valid driving licence with clean driving record preferred for transporting residents.
- Strong communication skills to build trusting relationships with children and team members.
- Knowledge of child development principles and ability to implement care plans effectively.
- IT literacy for documentation and communication purposes.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting young people’s growth and independence.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations professionally.

Pay: £24,420.00-£38,285.52 per year
