Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of cars and vans with a strong focus on Mercedes Vito, Mercedes Sprinter and Ford Transits. This role is ideal for someone who is confident in carrying out major mechanical repairs independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair and service engine, transmission, braking and suspension components.
- Perform advanced repairs such as timing belts, wet belts, timing chains, clutches, turbochargers, injectors etc.
- Conduct engine overhaul/changes
- Repair emissions related faults (DPF and AdBlue)
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using schematics and mechanical knowledge to identify vehicle issues
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems before they develop into major issues
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed on each vehicle
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and answering client questions
- Keep the workshop clean, organised and safe at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic with strong mechanical knowledge
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
- Good communication skills and professional attitude.
- Willingness to adapt to new vehicle technologies and diagnostic equipment.
- Must have own tools.

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
