Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable Self Employed Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining professional standards. This role offers flexible working arrangements and the opportunity to operate independently within a dynamic environment. Candidates must possess a valid <PERSON> driver’s licence and have experience in commercial driving or delivery roles.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a variety of vehicles, for delivery purposes
- Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance needs
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with legal requirements
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies during operations
- Ensure the security of goods during transit and upon delivery
Skills
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record; valid <PERSON> driver’s licence essential
- Excellent organisational skills for route planning and time management
- Good communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Knowledge of traffic regulations and safety standards applicable to commercial driving
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and self-motivation
- Physical fitness to manage the demands of heavy lifting and prolonged periods of driving
