SEND Class teacher – Permanent starting September 2026
The Governors of Dryden and Hill Top Learning Federation seek to appoint a vibrant, enthusiastic and successful teacher to join our well established, experienced, supportive and dedicated staff team. You will have responsibility for a class, delivering a highly adapted National Curriculum. As with all posts in school, you must have the flexibility to work anywhere in the school. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward thinking Federation.
You will be an excellent classroom practitioner with a commitment to meeting the needs of young people with learning difficulties and deliver a full range of subjects to these pupils. Candidates should be able to rise to challenges and have a calm, creative and flexible approach to their practice.
We are looking for a successful and enthusiastic teacher who has a commitment to ensuring pupils and students make the very best progress.
We need you to be:
Committed, creative and enthusiastic
An excellent classroom practitioner with the ability to deliver high quality education to all pupils, regardless of their barriers to learning.
Skills and knowledge in all areas of Preparation for Adulthood
Able to lead work with other staff
Able to demonstrate good organisational skills and abilities to meet deadlines
Able to work as part of a team (at all levels)
Hill Top School is a secondary special school, it provides education for pupils (11-18), there are different curriculum pathways across school to accommodate pupils with complex autism and associated learning and communication difficulties.
Applicants should from experience of and have a genuine interest in working with young people who have a range of learning difficulties and disabilities.
