Job Description:
Working alongside & reporting to the Venue Manager/Op's, this is a fantastic opportunity to join HUKD as we curate our best-in-class product proposition. The right candidate will have a long-term future with HUKD and as such an evolving role as our business grows.
This role is perfect for an existing Chef, Kitchen Manager or someone who is looking to step up and make this role their own. With accountability for the Kitchen Operations & working with the kitchen & venue team, you’ll lead by example, always demonstrating best practice.
To be successful, you will have experienced the following :
- Minimum of 1 year service in a position of equivalent or above
- Creative and innovative approach to food
- Have a keen eye for detail, never compromising on standards and encouraging others to do the same
- Be able to think on your feet, adapting well to the exciting challenges working for a growing company can bring
- Comfortable leading a kitchen operation, including all aspects of food safety
- Comfortable with building menus, managing/ controlling margins and presenting ideas and recommendations.
- Supply chain management & ordering
- Strong communication skills.
Service & Team training
- Ensuring service standards and duty management are upheld throughout operating hours.
- Commercially driven with the ability to identify and interpret KPI’s, whilst creating actionable improvements that maximise performance.
- To present products to a high standard, always to spec.
- To provide and participate in a range of planned activities that enable you to develop the Company’s skills, attitude, and knowledge.
Operational
- Responsible for the day-to-day service of food and the Kitchen Team.
- Responsible for the Kitchen P&L with a keen eye on cost control, inventory price comparison and rota efficiencies.
- Responsible for keeping spec sheets updated, checking measurements & ensuring the junior team are following spec.
- Be accountable for venue processes and procedures relating to the Kitchen (Daily paperwork, stock management, EHO compliance & event planning/execution) as some examples.
- Be accountable for the allergens matrix & procedure around changes/informing the General Manager of updates
- To safeguard colleagues’ interests by ensuring consistency and fairness in the treatment of employees by adhering to all policies and procedures within the business.
- Support the venue team in the safety, security and licensing aspects of the business.
- Plan for the future and assist in the efficient running of the Kitchen/Venue
Pay: £12.71-£13.21 per hour
