Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and organised Person to manage inventory, support operations, and ensure the efficient handling of engineering parts and materials. The role involves close collaboration with engineering, purchasing, and administrative teams to maintain accurate stock levels and support business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order parts, materials, and supplies in line with operational requirements
- Conduct regular stock checks
- Replenish stock and maintain optimal inventory levels
- Work closely with the engineering team to ensure timely availability of required stock
- Use accounting and in-house systems to track inventory, process orders, and update records
- Maintain accurate and up to date documentation of stock movements and transactions
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers to manage deliveries, resolve discrepancies, and ensure quality standards
- Support purchasing activities, including sourcing and price comparisons
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and organisation of stock within the stores area
- Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or inventory control role
- Experience with purchasing and supplier coordination
- Familiarity with accounting systems and stock management software
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively
Desirable:
- Experience working in an engineering or technical environment
- Knowledge of inventory control processes and best practices
