About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Extra Care Scheme Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Extra Care housing scheme/s located in Poole, Dorset. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of older people and individuals requiring supported living, promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
You will take overall responsibility for the scheme, ensuring high-quality housing management and care services are delivered in line with regulatory standards and organisational values.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the overall running of the Extra Care scheme/s, including care coordination and assessment process.
- Lead, support, and develop a multidisciplinary team
- Ensure compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding policies, and health & safety regulations
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, local authorities, and external partners.
- Oversee budgets, occupancy levels, and service performance
- Promote a culture of person-centred care and continuous improvement
- Handle complaints, incidents, and service feedback effectively
About You
We are looking for a proactive leader who is enthusiastic about delivering high-quality services.
Essential:
- Proven experience in domiciliary, supported living, or care management (Extra Care experience desirable)
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Knowledge of CQC regulations and safeguarding practices
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to manage budgets and service performance
Desirable:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or working towards)
- Experience working within Extra Care or retirement living environments
