We are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive Secondary school in Manchester M20 to recruit a full-time Graduate Academic Coach for a September 2026 start. Interviews will be taking place throughout June/July.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, while also developing key skills supporting students learning.
What You’ll Gain:
- First-hand classroom experience in a secondary classrooms
- Strong English & Maths skills (preferred)
- Practical experience supporting students with SEND and SEMH needs
- Exposure to a range of differentiation strategies and inclusive teaching approaches
- Experience working with pupils preparing for GCSEs.
- Ongoing support and guidance from experienced teaching staff
- A strong foundation for teacher training, educational psychology, or pastoral roles
Role Details:
- Position: Graduate Academic Coach
- Location: Manchester M20
- Start Date: September 2026
- Interview Period: ASAP
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday (term-time only)
- Pay: £500–£530 per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Working 1:1 and in small groups with students, including those with SEND and SEMH needs
- Implementing strategies to support behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement
- Assisting in the delivery of tailored interventions and differentiated learning activities
- Helping to manage classroom behaviour in a calm, consistent manner
- Building positive, trusting relationships with students to support their development
- Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
We’re Looking For Graduates Who:
- Hold (or are predicted) a 2:2 degree or above
- Have a genuine interest in supporting students with SEND and SEMH needs
- Are patient, resilient, and empathetic
- Can build positive relationships and remain calm under pressure
- Are confident, proactive, and adaptable
- Are committed for the full academic year (September 2026 – July 2027)
- Communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a team
