Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated activities instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering activities to engage our elderly residents on the weekends only. Activities can include arts and crafts, simple exercises, sing a longs, etc.
Responsibilities
- Implement engaging activities that the residents are able to partake in.
- Use a variety of resources to accommodate the different abilities and likes of the residents.
- Support the residents with their needs during the activities time.
- Maintain accurate records of the residents' activities and be able to use social media for this.
- Communicate with the residents clearly.
- Skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage residents effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage activities schedule to ensure this is varied and engaging.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Proficiency in using technology.
- Patience and empathy towards residents
