Responsibilities
- Assist with the supervision and care of children in various settings, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Support children’s learning through organised activities, play, and educational exercises.
- Help with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and personal hygiene.
- Engage children in creative and physical activities suitable for their age group.
- Maintain a clean and organised environment conducive to learning and play.
- Support the lead childminder or supervisor in planning programmes that promote developmental milestones.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a positive experience for all parties.
Skills
- Experience or interest in childcare, nannying, or teaching roles is advantageous.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English; proficiency in French is a plus.
- Driving skills are desirable to assist with outings or errands involving children.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Compassionate nature with excellent patience and understanding of child development stages.
- Good interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with children and their families.
- Willingness to learn new skills and undertake training relevant to childcare practices.
