RSD Recruitment is working on behalf of a well-established builders’ merchant seeking to strengthen its management team with the appointment of an experienced Heavyside Manager to support operational performance, stock management, and commercial growth within a busy merchant environment.
The business is keen to speak with experienced professionals who have a strong background managing heavyside products within a builders’ merchant setting, with proven experience overseeing categories such as aggregates, bricks, blocks, drainage, civils, lintels, landscaping, insulation, and general building materials. This role will focus on operational delivery, supplier management, team leadership, and driving performance across a key area of the business.

Ideal background:
- Proven management experience within a builders’ merchant, with strong exposure to heavyside products and operations
- Experience managing product categories such as aggregates, bricks, blocks, drainage, civils, landscaping, lintels, insulation, and general building materials
- Strong operational and commercial awareness, including stock control, supplier relationships, pricing, margin management, and branch or departmental performance
- Experience leading teams within a trade-focused merchant environment, delivering high service levels to contractors, developers, and trade customers
- A consistent, professional approach with a focus on continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and long-term development
