Dearne Valley Day Nursery is a popular, well-established setting rated Oustanding by Ofsted. We are situated in Wath Upon Dearne and offer childcare places to children aged between 0and 5 years, from 7.30am – 6pm Monday to Friday.
Due to and increase in numbers we are looking to recruit a highly motivated practitioner to join our outstanding team. The successful candidate must hold either a Level 2 or a Level 3 Early Years qualification and have secure knowledge of the EYFS as well as the ability to provide high quality teaching and learning for children between 0-5 years.
The position is for 37.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday between the hours of 7.30-6pm, various shifts are available and can be discussed with the sucessful candidate.
Job Overview
- Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that support children's learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
- Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities, ensuring a smooth flow of the day.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery environment that is conducive to learning and exploration.
- Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within the nursery setting.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
- A full and relevant Level 2 or level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
- Ability to drive initiatives that enhance the nursery experience for both children and families.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing situations.
Dearne Valley Day Nursery is committed to a high level of Safeguarding Children. The successful applicant will be required to provide contact details for two references, including their past or current employer, a DBS check will also be carried out as standard practice.
