Chimney Sweep & Stove Installer (Full Time - Part Time considered)

Role Overview
We are an extremely busy team seeking a Chimney Sweep & Stove Installer to carry out a wide range of chimney-related services. The role will involve chimney sweeping, fault diagnosis, solid fuel appliance installations, flue system installations, servicing and maintenance.
The successful candidate will also provide customers with professional advice and ensure all work complies with current safety regulations, Company policy and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out professional chimney sweeping and inspection services using both traditional and modern equipment
- Install and commission solid fuel appliances, including stoves and flue systems
- Undertake service and maintenance on installations
- Conduct maintenance, fault-finding and servicing of solid fuel appliances
- Assist colleagues with woodburner and stove installations
- Deliver exceptional customer service, including advice on safe use and fuel efficiency
- Ensure efficient time management to complete all appointments and tasks within the agreed timescales and timeslots.
- Complete all paperwork, certificates and reports accurately and promptly using company systems. Good written and verbal communication skills are essential for this.
- Adhere to safety regulations and Company policy at all times
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance, both personally and for the work environment
- Work independently and as part of a small team to meet job requirements
- Observe Company processes and protocols
Essential Criteria
- Strong interest in solid fuel appliances, flue systems and relevant regulations
- Excellent practical skills with attention to detail and high-quality standards, both internally and externally
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose issues efficiently
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Full UK driving licence - we have customers across the North West, primarily in Wigan, Liverpool, Manchester, Stockport and surrounding areas. We also have commercial clients further afield.
- Physically fit and comfortable working at height and in confined spaces. You will be expected to complete a number of appointments each day, the number of which will vary throughout the year.
- Professional, reliable, and punctual with a positive attitude
- Ability to be solutions-focused and have a ‘can-do’ mindset
- Must be willing to undertake DBS clearance
Desirable Criteria
- HETAS training/qualification (or equivalent recognised certification) - not compulsory as full training would be given
- Additional qualifications in related areas (e.g. OFTEC, Gas Safe, NVQs in construction/trade skills)
- Experience in CCTV chimney surveys and chimney relining
- Experience in a customer-facing role within domestic settings
- Willingness to undertake further training and development
