About the Role
Construo Recruitment is working in partnership with a specialist contractor to recruit an Estimator.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a nationally operating business delivering safety-critical services across electrical earthing, lightning protection, and height safety systems. You will play a key role in producing accurate and competitive cost estimates, supporting tender submissions, and contributing to successful bid strategies.
Working closely with the estimating and delivery teams, you will help drive business growth through strong commercial awareness and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates in line with client requirements
Support the tendering process, including attending meetings and site visits
Develop accurate designs and pricing proposals to meet project specifications
Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients while identifying new opportunities
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on project objectives and delivery
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform pricing strategies
Record and manage business activity using internal systems
Contribute to achieving sales and performance targets
Requirements
Experience working within a construction or specialist contracting environment
Strong understanding of tendering processes and pricing methodologies
Good commercial awareness with the ability to produce competitive bids
Excellent communication and client-facing skills
Ability to interpret client requirements and translate them into accurate proposals
Strong organisational and time management skills
Confident negotiator with the ability to influence outcomes
Understanding of contracts and commercial terms
Full UK driving licence
