Job Title: Care and Compliance Coordinator
Location: Francis House (base may be subject to change) – regular travel around
the Bedford area
Responsible to: Directors
Reports to: Domiciliary Care Manager.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Under the guidance and supervision of the Domiciliary Care Manger:
1. To lead on and be responsible for the care and compliance within the domiciliary team (and
oversight of compliance for the wider service).
2. Deputise for the Domiciliary Care Manager during periods of absence, ensuring key
processes and systems are maintained i.e. duty rota, safeguarding, new starter onboarding
checks, spot checks and audits etc.
3. Complete regular spot checks, probation meetings, supervision and appraisals of junior staff.
4. To demonstrate a working knowledge of CQC KLOE’s, Care Standards Act 2008 for
Domiciliary Care Regulations (National Minimum Standards) and legislation governing the
service.
5. To always represent the Company in a professional manner and develop professional
relationships with key stakeholders such as external healthcare professionals to increase a
positive profile of the service, to facilitate business growth.
6. To respond to enquiries, concerns and complaints on behalf of or as instructed by the
domiciliary care manager
7. To carry out field-based audits and spot checks on all care files, MAR sheets and progress
notes within the Domiciliary services. All issues to be addressed in real time and/or conveyed
to the Domiciliary Care Manager.

8. Comply with Data Protection, Confidentiality, Customer Care, Equal Opportunities and Health
& Safety policies always, as well as any local procedures to ensure fairness, equality and
safety of client information and staff.
9. To form part of the central “hub” for the domiciliary care service. Being a focal point for
communications, enquiries, referrals and coordination and planning of all service activities
and care duties and tasks
10. To lead on the review of all care plans and risk assessments within the domiciliary service to
ensure they meet service standards.
11. To carry out regular audits on Access software, ensuring the information is consistent to the
files available within the services or service user homes These audits will include reviewing
the quality of care files, care notes, task completion and the duration of calls. Actions to
address any findings will be taken in consultation with the manager
12. To update and monitor service action plans following audits, surveys and spot checks
13. Attend care reviews, representing the service. Outcomes will be fed back to the Senior
Support Workers and Domiciliary Care Manager
14. Organise BSH Surveys i.e. the Service User Survey
15. To have full working knowledge of key electronic systems used within BSH to manage
compliance, which include but are not limited to:
a. Dropbox
b. BreathHR
c. Access Workspace, People Planner and Care Planning
d. MS Office
16. To be able to produce financial reports that inform the Domiciliary Care manager of financial
position of the service.
17. To be able to support the team in completing the day-to-day rota for the domiciliary service.
18. Support the domiciliary care Manger with the recruitment, induction, training and
supervision of Staff.
19. To assist the Domiciliary Care Manager in holding regular team meetings for all members of
the domiciliary team, including Seniors and community support workers. (taking minutes and
organising the agenda)
20. To produce reports as required by senior management
21. To maintain accurate records.
22. To expand the levels of business by increasing the numbers of service users and care hours
delivered.
23. To participate in the on-call rota for the service.

24. To work as part of the rota to provide personal and practical care services for people with a
wide range of illnesses and disabilities on designated days.
25. To be a keyworker to a designated group of service users and staff.
26. To provide care cover, and deliver care as required from time to time when emergencies, or
short-term requirements present such a need and in the absence of any other member of staff
who would otherwise be able to assist.
27. Deliver, monitor and review packages of care, undertake regular spot checks, assessments
and review visits as required.
Other duties
1. General filing, setting up new files, archiving and maintaining of manual and electronic systems
in the central office and in the service user’s homes
2. To take accurate and comprehensive meeting minutes, proceedings and decisions in the
approved format and distributing accordingly once agreed by the chair
3. To contribute, as appropriate, to the drafting, monitoring and reviewing of policies and / or
protocols for the domiciliary care service and the wider service
4. To provide an appropriate level of support as required and under instruction from the manager
and / or service directors to the wider BSH service
Health and Safety
1. To be familiar with the Company’s obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act
1974 and the other Health and Safety Regulations detailed in the Company’s Health and
Safety Policies.
2. Under the supervision and guidance of the Domiciliary Care Manager - to carry out risk
assessments under Health and Safety requirements.
3. To keep the Domiciliary Care Manager informed of the outcomes and issues that are identified
concerning Health and Safety issues.
The job holder may be required to undertake other reasonable duties as required by the line manager.
