Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team in Corby, The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a variety of commercial and residential sites to a high standard. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors, applying a range of skills in landscape maintenance and horticulture.
Responsibilities
- Grounds maintenance- grass cutting, hedge trimming, strimming, pruning, planting, weed control.
- Use of machinery- mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters, blowers and other powered equipment.
- Site upkeep- litter picking, basic repairs, seasonal tasks.
- Routine inspections- identifying issues requiring maintenance or repair.
- Health and safety compliance- staying up to date and following safe working practices at all times.
Skills
- Minimum 5 years experience in grounds maintenance or landscape operations
- Current trade certificates/ qualifications (e.g PA1/PA6, chainsaw, horticulture or equivalent)
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Physical fitness to perform outdoor labour over extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently and also as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
