Branxholm Park is a luxury exclusive-use wedding venue near Hawick in the Scottish Borders. We are looking for reliable, detail-focused Cleaner / Housekeepers to help maintain the wedding venue and nearby guest apartments to a high standard.
This role includes cleaning Branxholm Park itself before and after weddings, guest stays, viewings and events, as well as cleaning flats in Hawick that are used by the business and let externally through Airbnb and Booking.com.
This is a role for someone who takes pride in high standards, notices small details, and can be trusted to work carefully whether they are part of a team or working independently.
It is not the right role for someone looking for guaranteed weekly hours, fixed shifts, live-in accommodation, or work that is always planned far in advance.
Important details
This is a zero-hours role with no guaranteed weekly hours.
Pay: £13.50 per hour.
Hours vary depending on weddings, guest stays, changeovers and bookings.
Wedding and venue work is often known well in advance, but apartment bookings can sometimes come in at short notice.
Rotas are normally planned around known bookings, but some flexibility is needed for last-minute changeovers.
There is no live-in accommodation with this role.
Due to our rural location, the Hawick apartment locations, and the nature of the shifts, applicants must have access to their own car or reliable private transport.
What the role involves
Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living spaces and guest areas.
Cleaning Branxholm Park before and after weddings, guest stays, viewings and events.
Cleaning flats in Hawick used for Airbnb, Booking.com and wedding guest accommodation.
Making beds and helping reset accommodation.
Checking bathrooms are spotless and properly presented.
Cleaning kitchens, appliances, surfaces and floors.
Tidying and resetting social areas.
Emptying bins and replacing guest supplies where required.
Following cleaning checklists carefully.
Reporting damage, stains, missing items or maintenance issues.
Helping with changeovers where guests are checking out and new guests are arriving.
Completing final presentation checks so spaces feel clean, calm and guest-ready.

Experience
Previous cleaning, housekeeping, hotel, holiday let, care home or changeover experience is helpful, but attitude and reliability matter most.
We are happy to train the right person if they are dependable, careful, hard-working and willing to learn our standards.
This is a good role for someone local who wants flexible cleaning work and takes pride in presenting properties beautifully for guests.
