Job Summary – Permanent/Part time Support Worker (Home Care)

We are urgently seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to support clients within home care settings across the Stafford area. Shifts are available on weekdays and weekends.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care, supporting individuals with a range of needs to maintain their safety, comfort, dignity, and wellbeing in their own homes. This role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful difference through tailored support and positive engagement.

Duties
- Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support
- Provide specialised care for individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other cognitive impairments
- Support patients with medication administration following prescribed protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Offer emotional support and behaviour management to promote a positive environment
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living space
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required
- Monitor health status and report any concerns to healthcare professionals promptly
- Support children or elderly clients with childcare or senior care needs as necessary
- Administer first aid when required and respond effectively in emergency situations
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living and home care environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient care practices, including dementia, Alzheimer's and behavioural management
- Experience with medication administration and basic first aid procedures
- Familiarity with care-giving for children or elderly individuals is advantageous
- Valid driving licence is preferred.
- Proven ability to handle heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility support
- Demonstrated skills in meal preparation and maintaining a safe environment for vulnerable individuals

Pay: £12.80-£13.00 per hour
