Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced working foreman /groundworker with experience in the civil engineering sector, drainage, concrete slabbing, large concrete foundations etc. A 360 excavator operator would be an advantage. We work nationwide so willingness to work away from home with lodge and lodging allowance paid. Full uk driving licence essential. Living local to the Rotherham/sheffield/Doncaster area is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operating as a working lead in a 2 or 3 gang team capable of reading site drawings and following instruction from managers / clients.
- Ensuring your team works to a good standard following and adhering to safe practises of work, method statements, risk assessments, and CDM Regulations.
- Ensuring jobs run on time and are completed to an excellent standard.
Skills
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision whilst also being a team player.
- Ability to read site drawings and follow method statements.
- Understanding and following CDM regulations and risk assessments.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks undertaken.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and willingness to learn new skills.
- Previous experience in this type of work essential.
- CSCS /CPCS plant operator/ other plant tickets/ SSSTS / first aid etc is an advantage
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £18.00-£20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 – 60 per week
