Job Overview
We are seeking a semi skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vans across our facilities. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong or basic mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience to contribute to the smooth operation of our operations, ensuring safety and efficiency at all times.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections, servicing and diagnostic checks on our stock
- Diagnose faults using our up to date tools to execute repairs efficiently.
- Utilise hand tools, power tool equipment to perform repairs, assembly, and modifications.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs carried out.
- Provide excellent customer service by liaising with other departments regarding maintenance needs and repair schedules.
- Basic servicing, changing brakes, changing clutches and other basic mechanical duties.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar role with good mechanical knowledge.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills, keep the busy sales staff updated,
