Are you a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for a role where you can make a genuine impact?
We are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business that continues to invest heavily in its people, equipment, and facilities. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly automated production environment where reliability, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence are at the heart of the operation.
Working as part of an experienced engineering team, you will play a key role in maintaining production equipment, reducing downtime, and driving improvements across the site.
As a Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on production machinery.

Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.

Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and performance.

Maintaining workshop standards and ensuring tools, spare parts, and consumables are effectively managed.

Reading electrical schematics and carrying out fault finding on control systems.

Checking I/O faults and supporting equipment diagnostics (PLC programming experience not required).

Mentoring and supporting junior engineers and apprentices within the team.

Ensuring all work is completed in line with food safety, health & safety, and engineering standards.
To be successful in this role, you will have:

Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, or similar.

Strong fault-finding skills across both electrical and mechanical systems.

Experience within a manufacturing, FMCG, food, packaging, automated, or production environment.

The ability to read electrical drawings and diagnose equipment faults.

A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
