Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Care Manager to oversee the daily operations of our care home specialising in senior care, including dementia and Alzheimer's care. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered, managing staff, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. This role offers an opportunity to lead a dedicated team in providing exceptional support to our residents, fostering a safe and nurturing environment.
Duties
- Lead and supervise care staff to ensure delivery of personalised care plans tailored to individual needs, including medication administration and dementia-specific interventions.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and review of care programmes, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and reflect best practices in assisted living and home care.
- Monitor residents’ wellbeing, ensuring safety protocols are adhered to and that residents’ physical and emotional needs are met with compassion.
- Manage staff recruitment, training, supervision, and performance appraisals to maintain a motivated and professional team.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, health & safety, and safeguarding regulations within the care home environment.
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care for residents.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to care plans, medication records, and incident reports.
- Lead quality assurance initiatives to continuously improve service delivery and resident satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior care settings such as assisted living or nursing homes, with a strong understanding of different types of care.
- Demonstrable management or supervising experience within a care home or home care environment.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices related to elderly care and medication administration.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team effectively.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing care plans and compliance documentation.
- Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills when engaging with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 4 or 5 in Health & Social Care or equivalent are preferred but not essential. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional committed to delivering high-quality senior care through effective management and compassionate leadership.
Pay: £36,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
