Our client is a well-established and growing logistics provider with a strong reputation in the market. Due to continued expansion, they are looking for a Road Freight Operator to join their friendly and high-performing team in Bristol.

The Role
As a Road Freight Operator, you will take ownership of a portfolio of customers, managing the full end-to-end road freight process. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position ideal for someone with EU road freight experience, particularly within the post-Brexit landscape.
You’ll play a key role in delivering a high level of service while ensuring operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a dedicated portfolio of customer accounts
- Arrange and oversee road freight shipments (EU and/or UK)
- Provide accurate and competitive spot quotes with timely follow-up
- Handle bookings from start to finish, ensuring all documentation is correct
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and hauliers
- Process invoices and resolve any billing queries
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries via phone and email
- Support the wider operations team as needed
About You
Essential:
- Experience in road freight operations, ideally EU-focused
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Confident using IT systems and freight documentation
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management
- Proactive, reliable, and keen to develop
Desirable:
- Exposure to customs procedures
- Experience in freight forwarding or logistics (2+ years preferred but not essential)
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 8:30am – 5:30pm
