Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Class 2 Hotbox Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods using a lorry equipped with a hotbox system. This role requires a professional driver with experience in commercial driving and labouring duties. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals working with our client NGN. You will be working in a 3 man team reinstating footway and carriageway tarmac patches . All PPE supplied and client retention package provided .
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a HGV Class 2 hotbox equipment, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies
- Load, secure, and unload goods efficiently, ensuring the integrity of cargo during transit
- Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise time and fuel efficiency
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in compliance with legal requirements
- Communicate professionally with cusrtomers
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure personal safety and that of others on site
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence with a clean driving record and cpcs
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with hotbox systems
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of road regulations and safety standards within the UK
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude towards clients and colleagues
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including early mornings or late finishes if necessary
- Clean Shaven policy
