This is a newly created role with no existing procurement team, so you’ll set up how purchasing runs here and build the function from the ground up — a genuine opportunity to put your own stamp on the role and shape it your way.
The role
You’ll own the sourcing and purchasing of the goods, materials and services that keep operations moving — raw materials, consumables, equipment, spare parts and services — securing best value without compromising quality, supplier performance or continuity of supply. You’ll work closely with production, stores, planning, sales and finance.

- Raise and process purchase orders, and track them through to on-time delivery
- Resolve delivery delays, discrepancies and supply issues
- Manage approved suppliers and evaluate performance on quality, cost, delivery and service
- Support supplier selection, onboarding, contract negotiations and agreements
- Maintain the right stock levels with production and planning, avoiding shortages or excess
- Identify cost savings and efficiencies, and analyse spend and purchasing trends
- Maintain accurate procurement records and support internal and external audits
- Report on procurement KPIs — cost savings, supplier performance, delivery reliability
- Drive continuous improvement across the supply chain
What you’ll bring
- Previous experience in a procurement, purchasing or supply chain role
- Strong understanding of procurement principles and supplier management
- Experience in a manufacturing, printing, packaging or industrial environment
- Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain processes
- Strong negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills
