About The RoleWe pride ourselves on offering a comprehensive suite of specialist arboricultural services. In this role, you will work as part of a skilled team of arborists to deliver safe, efficient, and precise tree care using our top-tier machinery.Key Responsibilities Include:
- Carrying out precision pruning, tree removals, and general maintenance
- Conducting technical tree climbing and ground crew operations using specialized equipment
- Assessing tree health and contributing to tree care recommendations
- Ensuring the absolute safety of yourself, your team, and the public on-site
- Completing assigned digital workflow tasks within quoted timeframes to an exceptional standard
- Following instructions and guidance from your Team Leader or Management, and providing regular feedback
- Supporting your colleagues and Management in a proactive, positive manner
- Adhering to all health and safety policies, procedures, and industry best practices
About The DepartmentOur close-knit department consists of up to 10 professionals who typically operate in highly efficient pairs, including a Lead Tree Surgeon. Depending on the scale and complexity of the project, you might work in a tight team of two or collaborate with the entire department on large-scale operations. A supportive, team-first attitude is essential to our success.Skills & Experience RequirementsIdeally, you will bring at least 12 months of industry experience and a genuine passion for high-quality arboriculture.Technical Skills & Knowledge:
- Competent tree climbing, rigging, and felling techniques
- Working knowledge of current arboricultural practices, tree biology, and industry legislation
- Understanding of Health & Safety, LOLER, PUWER, and Working at Height (WAH) guidelines
- Excellent customer service and client relations skills
- Proficiency with modern arboricultural equipment and workflow management apps
- A flexibility and willingness to travel and work away from home at times
Qualifications & RequirementsEssential:
- City & Guilds NPTC Level 2: Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross Cutting (CS30)
- City & Guilds NPTC Level 2: Felling and Processing Trees up to 380mm (CS31)
- City & Guilds NPTC Level 2: Tree Climbing and Rescue (CS38)
- City & Guilds NPTC Level 3: Aerial Cutting of Trees Using Free-fall Techniques (CS39)
- Full UK Driving Licence
Preferred but not Essential:
- City & Guilds NPTC Level 3: Aerial Tree Rigging (CS41)
- Level 2 Qualification in Arboriculture
- UA (Utility Arboriculture) Qualifications
- NPTC Woodchipper & Stump Grinder certificates
Remuneration
- Salary: Highly competitive and negotiable based entirely on your industry experience, certificates, and qualifications.
