Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman/woman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and renovation tasks across residential and commercial properties. Responsibilities
- Carry out carpentry tasks including repairs, installations, and modifications.
- Conduct roofing repairs and maintenance to ensure structural integrity.
- Perform construction painting to prepare surfaces and enhance aesthetics.
- Handle plumbing repairs such as fixing leaks, replacing fixtures, and maintaining water systems.
- Execute masonry work including bricklaying, repointing, and concrete repairs.
- Operate welding equipment for metal fabrication and repair projects.
- Assist with electrical tasks such as installing lighting fixtures or troubleshooting wiring issues (where qualified).
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various repair tasks.
- Fabricate customised parts or structures as required for specific projects.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, or electrical work.
- Proficiency in the use of hand tools and power tools essential for maintenance tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to perform fabrication work with precision.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to different repair scenarios.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively within a team.
- Valid relevant trade certifications or licences are desirable but not mandatory depending on the scope of work undertaken.
