Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Labourer to join our team and assist with a variety of outdoor maintenance and construction tasks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and gardening, with a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in landscape maintenance, construction, and the use of power tools, contributing to the creation and upkeep of beautiful outdoor spaces.
Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance including planting, pruning, mowing, and fertilising
- Operate hand tools such as spades, rakes, and shears to carry out gardening tasks
- Use power tools and machinery including excavators, trimmers, and irrigation systems for installation and maintenance
- Support construction activities such as laying pathways, installing features, or setting up garden structures
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure safety and efficiency
- Assist with site preparation, including digging, clearing debris, and soil preparation
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during outdoor work
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to high standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is desirable but not essential
- Mechanical knowledge related to power tools and machinery is advantageous
- Familiarity with hand tools, irrigation systems, and construction techniques is preferred
- Ability to operate equipment such as excavators or other machinery is a plus
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining outdoor spaces
- Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- A valid driving licence is beneficial but not mandatory
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills
