Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Supply Cover / Lunch Cover Nursery Assistant to join our childcare team. This role involves providing essential support during lunch times and supply cover periods, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children.
Responsibilities
- Supervise children during lunch breaks, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Support the delivery of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
- Provide cover for staff absences, maintaining consistency in care and supervision
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and team members through effective communication
- Ensure the nursery environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Support children's individual needs, including behaviour management and emotional support
- Assist with basic administrative tasks related to nursery operations as required
Requirement
- Childcare qualifications, relevant early childhood education training or parenting experience are advantageous
- Ability to work flexibly during designated hours, including lunchtimes and supply cover shifts
- A caring attitude with patience, organisation skills, and a proactive approach to supporting young children's development
- Ability to work well within a team environment while also demonstrating independence when needed

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
