JOB DESCRIPTION : Senior Carer/Team Leader - Full time, Bank or Part Time
Reporting To : Care Manager

JOB PURPOSE: To plan, implement and supervise the provision of quality care in conjunction with Residents. To ensure Residents retain their dignity and individuality. To be involved in the general activities of the Care Home. Maintain a safe and secure environment for Residents, Staff Members and Visitors.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATION
Required:
Must have Medication Experience
Genuine interest in, and experience of working with the relevant Client Group
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Team player
Willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programmes
Satisfactory Police Check and check against the PVG list (where applicable)
Minimum SVQ level 3 in Care or working towards it
Desired:
Previous supervisory experience
SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION - RESPONSIBILITIES -
Supervisory Responsibilities As Senior Carer, duties include front line supervision and monitoring of care workers and care assistants. The Senior Carer will require to be in charge of a shift of workers and will take responsibility for the smooth running of the service whilst they are on duty. They respond to emergencies and provide guidance and support to care workers. You will Manage staff on your shift in a professional and fair manner and be able to delegate tasks to chosen staff members at your own discretion. You will be responsible for overseeing the quality of work and care within your environment whilst monitoring tasks undertaken by all staff on shift.

Salary: £15.20 to £16.20 per hour
