Summary
Location: Uxbridge, North-West London. Hybrid (2-3 days in the office per week).
Salary: £45k p/y
Hours: 11am - 7pm, Mon - Fri
Reports to: UK Finance Director
We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust controls, and supporting month-end and year-end processes. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure compliance and provide reliable financial insight to support business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledger, including preparation and posting of journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Assist with external audits by preparing and providing supporting documentation
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements
- Prepare VAT returns and other statutory filings
- Maintain the fixed asset register
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
- Provide financial analysis and ad hoc reporting to support management decisions
- Partner with the UK Finance Director to continuously improve financial controls, processes, and reporting accuracy
Skills & Experience
- Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA preferred)
- Experience in financial accounting or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficient in Excel and accounting/ERP systems
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
