Overview
We are seeking motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team as Apprentice Stonemasons. This entry-level position offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in the craft of stonemasonry, working alongside experienced professionals on diverse projects. The role is ideal for those passionate about construction, craftsmanship, and developing specialised skills in masonry and related trades. Successful apprentices will be paid throughout their training period, fostering both professional growth and financial stability.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and organisation of materials using hand tools and power tools
- Learn and support bricklaying techniques under supervision to build walls, facades, and other structures
- Support the installation of natural and manufactured stonework in various projects
- Help with general site duties including cleaning, measuring, and marking out work areas
- Contribute to masonry tasks such as mixing mortar and laying bricks or stones with guidance from senior team members
- Support related trades such as carpentry, roofing, or welding as part of broader construction activities
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- An interest in masonry, construction, or related trades with a desire to learn specialised skills
- Basic familiarity with hand tools and power tools is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Willingness to undertake physical labour and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively within a tea
