We are looking for a warm, reliable and organised Ukrainian School Tutor to join our Saturday team and support Ukrainian children and young people who have settled in the UK.
This role is perfect for someone who loves working with children, values Ukrainian culture, and wants to help young people stay connected to their language and identity.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons in Ukrainian language, literacy and culture for children and young people
- Support pupils’ development — educationally, socially and emotionally — in a safe, welcoming environment
- Prepare lesson materials and interactive classroom activities
- Work collaboratively with parents, volunteers and the wider school team
- Maintain safeguarding standards and professional conduct at all times
- Assist with school events, performances and community activities when required
Essential Requirements
- Fluent Ukrainian (spoken and written)
- Experience working with children or young people
- Previous experience in a school, supplementary school, youth or educational setting
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A friendly, patient and supportive approach
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable
- Teaching qualification or педагогічна освіта
- Experience teaching the Ukrainian curriculum or supplementary education
- English language skills
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices
- Experience supporting refugee or migrant communities
