We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician to join our professional automotive workshop based in Milton Keynes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual with strong mechanical knowledge and a commitment to delivering high standards of workmanship and customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out MOT inspections in line with DVSA regulations, alongside servicing, diagnostics, and general vehicle repairs when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out Class 4 MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards
- Inspect vehicles thoroughly and identify mechanical or safety-related issues
- Perform servicing, maintenance, and repair work on a range of vehicles
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults efficiently
- Complete MOT and workshop documentation accurately
- Advise customers on repairs and maintenance requirements where necessary
- Maintain high levels of workshop safety, cleanliness, and organization
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Requirements
- Valid MOT Tester Licence
- Previous experience as an MOT Tester or Vehicle Technician
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Experience using workshop and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance (preferred)
