Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Voluntary Bookkeeper to support our organisation’s financial management. Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records using recognised accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
- Reconcile bank statements and financial transactions regularly to ensure accuracy
- Assist in preparing financial reports and statements for review by management
- Support the organisation in budgeting and forecasting activities
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and organisational policies
- Collaborate with other team members to improve financial processes and record-keeping practices
Qualifications
- Proven experience or strong familiarity with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
- Experience managing accounts payable is desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Previous voluntary or unpaid bookkeeping experience is advantageous but not essential; a genuine interest in finance is required
