Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Qualified Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, assist dentists during procedures, and ensure the smooth operation of daily clinic activities. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilise instruments, and ensure all equipment is functioning correctly
- Provide pre- and post-treatment care instructions to patients
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems and ensure confidentiality at all times
- Support patients with their queries, offering reassurance and clear communication throughout their visit
- Organise appointments efficiently, managing schedules to optimise clinic workflow
- Uphold strict hygiene and health & safety standards within the practice
- Support with administrative tasks such as stock management and ordering supplies
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Nurse or in a similar healthcare setting is essential
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Basic IT proficiency for maintaining electronic patient records and scheduling systems
- Knowledge of nursing principles relevant to dental care is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
