Staffright Group is currently recruiting for a Farm Processing & Packing Operative to join our client based in Manningtree, who is a specialist in growing raspberries, strawberries, blackcurrants, and rhubarb. This role involves working in the factory producing frozen fruit, juice, and purée products.
Full training will be provided in fruit pressing, processing, and packing, along with opportunities to develop skills in hygienic food production, glass bottling machinery, and food production paperwork. This position is suited to someone who is looking to take responsibility within a food processing environment.
Pay & Hours
- £12.71 per hour
- Summer: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (plus overtime)
- Winter: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (Friday finish at 3:30pm)
Key Responsibilities
- Processing and packing soft fruits into frozen, juice, and purée formats
- Operating and assisting with food processing and bottling machinery
- Following hygiene and food safety procedures at all times
- Completing basic food production paperwork and records
- Supporting general production and packing operations
Requirements
- Willingness to learn food processing and machinery operation
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Reliable and proactive attitude
- Interest in working within food production and processing
