We are hiring for our client, a successful and growing manufacturing business in Newry, who are seeking to appoint a Maintenance Supervisor to lead their engineering function.
This Maintenance Supervisor job offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to step into a leadership role, or for an established Maintenance Supervisor seeking a new challenge. The successful Maintenance Supervisor will manage a team of engineers, drive maintenance performance, and help ensure the reliability and efficiency of manufacturing operations.

The Role

Lead, motivate and develop a team of maintenance engineers

Coordinate planned preventative maintenance activities

Manage reactive maintenance and minimise production downtime

Support continuous improvement and engineering projects

Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards

Monitor maintenance KPIs and drive performance improvements

Work closely with production teams to maximise plant efficiency

Support training and development within the engineering team
The Person

Previous experience within a manufacturing maintenance environment

Experience leading or supervising engineering teams

Strong electrical and/or mechanical maintenance background

Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and leadership abilities

Relevant engineering qualification desirable
