Springwell School is located on the edge of the city of Southampton and is a designated day special school for children aged from 4 - 11 years with complex learning difficulties including speech and language disorders, autism, and challenging behaviours.
We are looking to recruit to a number of permanent Midday Assistant roles to work across Springwell.

Your contribution
- Support and motivate the children and encourage independence during the lunch period
- Assist with ancillary duties; ensuring tables are clean and clear, cleaning up spillages
- Encourage and support good behaviour by acting as a positive role model
- Can deal with challenging behaviour, reporting serious issues to senior staff
What will you need?
- Previous experience of working with children within a school setting is desirable
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to liaise with staff at all levels
- Have enthusiasm, reliability, and resilience
- Strong sense of teamwork
- Understand the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding

Working pattern – 7.5 hours per week, Term time only
Monday - Friday: 11:30 am – 1:00 pm

Interview process
If successfully shortlisted, you will complete a short observation in the dining hall prior to a 2-panel, face to face interview.
