MacKenzie King are excited to be recruiting a newly created Accounts Assistant role, due to growth, for an Ipswich based business that we've supported throughout their growth journey. As an Accounts Assistant you will assist with finance duties and support the overall efficient running of the business.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Assisting the accounts function and other areas of the business with information as required
- Monitoring & maintenance of the accounts email, ensuring all items are actioned or passed on appropriately and promptly
- Answering incoming telephone calls
- Dealing with internal & external queries promptly
- Importing payments to the bank
- Assisting with Credit Control
- Daily rating checks, & sales invoice runs
- Issuing Sub-Contractor recharge invoices
- Checking & updating subcontractor invoices
- Processing & checking purchase ledger invoices
- Processing weekly & monthly supplier payment runs
- Ad hoc accounts & administration projects and duties as required
- Assisting with month end processes, reconciliations, forecasts & management accounts
Qualifications and experience
- Strong communication skills
- Proactive & motivated working approach
- Efficient time management & prioritising of tasks
- Team player
- AAT preferable but not essential
