Position: Forklift Driver / Operative
Location: Fowler Road, Ilford
Hours: Core hours 7:30 am – 4:00 pm.
Job Description:
This is a permanent role with long term progression opportunities available for successful candidate. The company, TPSM, is based in the Hainault Business Park in Ilford and is well established within the sheet metal industry for over 37 years with a long standing and innovate team.
Core role is to assist the Operations and Production Manager in the safe transportation of finished product and loading of vehicles for dispatch.
Major Duties:
- Ensuring products are correctly wrapped for safe transportation.
- Loading various sized vehicles from transit vans to artic lorries.
- Assist in maintaining an organised and clean warehouse.
- Ensuring that all signed delivery notes are returned to Operations.
- Keeping the main production factory clear of completed products and moving to warehouse.
- Liaising with Production Manager on packing requirements and providing in a timely manner (i.e. pallets, cartons).
Requirements
- Counter Reach and Balance Forklift certificate
- Full UK driving license (we are located on two sites so road driving required)
- Good organisation skills
- Teamwork skills
About the role
- Permanent position, subject to standard 3 months probation.
- Monday to Friday: 07:30am – 16:00pm with 15 minute paid tea break and half hour unpaid lunch break.
- Overtime as and when required.
- Rate of Pay is £13 per hour.
- Immediate start available.
